Kenny Chua
Kenny Chua was born on 1974 in Kuala Lumpur. A year after his graduation from the Malaysia Institute of Arts in 1996, he worked as an animation artist. In 2000 he joined the Art Square Group as a comic artist. 4 years ago, he was transferred to the editorial department and today he's the Chief Editor of 'Comic King', 'Star Talk' and 'Little Monitor'.
His drawings are clean and his adorable children characters reflect his ever optimistic personality. His insistence on using fine lines to sketch and bold and thin lines to pen his drawings gives them a special impact. His published graphic novel "Jinggo" won the Malaysia Best Comic Award in 2001 and his other works are acknowledged by China's comic readers. In 2004, he won the Best Comic Award at the Oriental Animation Comic Competition (OACC). His other published comics include "Balistix", "Jinggo Hikayat si Pemburu", "Jinggo Replay", "Jinggo Concluded" and 'Pop! Bang! Boom!'.
Achievement: 'Jinggo- Hikayat si Pemburu' won the Malaysia Best Comic Award in 2001.
In 2004, he won the Special Prize Multi Frame Humor Comic Series with 'Jinggo' at the Oriental Animation Comic Competition (OACC) in Beijing.
